The rules and guidance on entering the UK from another country are frequently updated and are likely to change prior to IMC 2022. We would advise you to review the detailed information on international travel into England available on the Government website here. It is vital that you review this information regularly and ensure you have the most up-to-date information to be able to adhere to the rules in force at the time of travel.
The current system stipulates rules for entry to the UK depending on approved vaccination status and whether the traveller has stayed or travelled through a ‘red list’ country prior to arrival. The countries included in the ‘red list’ are updated and changed regularly so you must review whether the country you will be travelling from (plus any countries visited or travelled through prior to arrival in the UK) is included in the red list, and what the rules are for arrivals from this list at the time of travel.
Please note that all of the above guidance applies where your point of entry to the UK is in England (which Leeds falls within), the rules for arrival into airports in other UK Nations (Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland) can vary, their rules can be found as follows:

Remote (Virtual) Participation
We are currently working on arrangements for IMC 2022, including both in-person and virtual elements, and will provide further updates on how virtual participation will work in due course.
When submitting your paper or session proposal, you will be asked if your paper, session, or round table session can be run in-person, virtual, or a combination of both. It is essential you provide this information as we will use this information to plan both in-person and virtual elements of IMC 2022. You can submit your paper, session or round table proposal here.
