Visas for Overseas Delegates
As of 30 January 2020, the United Kingdom is no longer part of the European Union.
We encourage all delegates who are concerned about obtaining a visa, or who are uncertain whether they will require one to attend the IMC as a result of Brexit, to check the official UK government gov.uk website.
Request a Formal Letter of Invitation
Once the programme is confirmed (usually in early December) we will be able to issue formal letters of invitation on request.
Please email imc@leeds.ac.uk to request a letter, including any reference numbers or other information which your visa application may require.
Please note: We ask that delegates wait until they have heard whether their session/paper proposal has been accepted into the programme and scheduled by the Programming Committee before contacting us to request a letter of invitation.
Issues or Problems
If you have any concerns, or have been experiencing difficulties obtaining a visa, please let us know by emailing imc@leeds.ac.uk. While the IMC is not able to offer advice on individual cases, we are keen to find out more if individual delegates are experiencing difficulties.
