Abstract | This round table focuses on the origins, development, and possible future directions of Mongol studies. It provides a rare and invaluable opportunity to hear some of the world's formost experts on the Mongols as they discuss their work. Speakers will concentrate particularly on the Christian West's view of, and relations with, the Mongols in the medieval period. Participants include Charles Connell (Northern Arizona University), Peter Jackson (Keele University), Noreen Giffney (University College, Dublin), Gregory Guzman (Bradley University), Antti Ruotsala (University of Helsinki) and Felicitas Schmieder (Johann-Wolfgang-Goethe-Universität, Frankfurt). |
