Session 404: Feminism and the Academy: Pressing or Passé?

Abstract

Four 10-minute papers examining any aspect of feminism and/in the academy or feminist practices within medieval scholarship. The discussion will then be opened up to the floor and the whole session will incorporate feminist practices/concerns in four separate countries.

Participants include Ruth Evans (University of Wales, Cardiff), Elizabeth Freeman (University of Tasmania), Mari Hughes-Edwards (University of York), Catherine Innes-Parker (University of Prince Edward Island), Elizabeth Herbert McAvoy, and Ulrike Wiethaus (Wake Forest University, North Carolina).
