Abstract

On the basis of more than ten Statute laws of Dalmatian communes from the Late Middle Ages, the participants will speak about various aspects of everyday life as reflected in the communal statute laws. Particular attention will be paid to the statutary decrees issued by communal authorities regarding the following problems: the anti-plague sanitary measures undertaken by the communal authorities, the decrees regulating the position of marginal groups and individuals in Dalmatian communes, and the statutary decrees of Dalmatian communes regarding the trade, communal measures, and navigation.
