Abstract

The session deals with age related aspects of the vita religiosa in general, with generation succession and the relation between the generations in religious communities in particular, that is with modells of recruitung new monks and nuns (in general members of the younger generations), with children in the the cloister, with their education and their tasks within the communities, finally with modes of succession in celtic monasticism.
