Abstract | Recent years has seen an explosion in the number of medieval manuscripts that have become available in electronic form. The process of preparing images and text for electronic publication forces a consideration of various technical aspects of the electronic medium itself but also offers new solutions to problems editors have always had to face. Moreover, the availability of the electronic resources naturally opens up several new areas of research. In three linked sessions, we provide a forum for scholars working in the field to meet each other, to discuss issues of shared concern, and to showcase their projects. |
