Abstract | Some customs and traditions in the Scandinavian area are exceptional to the region, setting it apart from the rest of Western Europe. The main purpose of the session will be to explore a few of these unique features, establishing why they arose, their function and their implication on possible future research. The first paper will focus on drunkenness and regicide, the second on rituals of slavery, and the third will examine the aspect of concubinage. |
