Abstract

This session will analyse the relationship between art and travel taking into consideration two points of view. On the one hand, the session will explore how works of art could contribute to the diffusion of certain ideas, which is the topic of travelling knowledge. On the other hand, the session will show how manuscripts, paintings, sculptures, or textiles were a reflection of the travel experiences of medieval women and men.
