Abstract

In the middle ages as well as in modern times salt and water are very basic resources for every day life. In this sessions scholars of different disciplins discuss the possibillities to make researches on the question: To what extent was it possible for everyone to use those resources, what was done to make them available, what can archeological discoveries tell about those basic circumstances of living. The examples have different but important relations to Salzburg.
