Abstract

The section discusses different aspects of leisure and pleasure in everyday life in medieval Dalmatian cities and their hinterland. First paper, based on notarial records, discusses material and non-material ways of finding pleasure in everyday life in a home of upper class family in medieval Dalmatian city. The second one discusses the attitudes towards adultery in Late Medieval Dubrovnik, the impact of class boundaries on adultery and extramarital affairs, the influence of social ranking on attitudes towards adultery and its frequency, the most common outcome of adulterous affairs. The third paper depicts the luxury in everyday life of the nobility of Zadar's hinterland.
