| Abstract | This session centres on The Cambridge Companion to the Cistercian Order, ed. Mette Birkedal Bruun (Cambridge University Press, 2012). We will present the ambition behind the volume and its nineteen chapters and the outline and focus of selected chapters. With this presentation we hope to evoke a discussion of the current state and future avenues of Cistercian scholarship. Participants include David N. Bell (Memorial University of Newfoundland), Christopher J. Holdsworth (University of Exeter), Emilia Jamroziak (University of Leeds), and Diane J. Reilly (Indiana University, Bloomington). |
