Abstract

This session is one of three on 'The Later Roman Empire in Transition: The Sons of Constantine'. This session is entitled 'Dynasty and Imperial Ideology'. The three speakers will discuss the ideology and practice of succession of the Constantinian dynasty, the use and abuse of the memory of Constantine by his sons, and the military and Christian identity of the sons.
