Abstract

Despite its proliferation during the late Middle Ages, historiographical material written in Anglo-Norman remains one of the least studied literary genres in the field. This session will explore three Anglo-Norman historiographical works currently being edited, examining how their inclusion in the Anglo-Norman literary canon will expand our understanding of the multilingual culture of late medieval Britain.
