Abstract

This session, which follows from a related submission, examines the evidence for the consequences of England's interaction with other European cultures in the later Middle Ages. Drawing on the current AHRC-funded project, 'England's Immigrants, 1330-1550', it presents important new research materials and interpretations on the image and reputation of the alien in late medieval England.
