Abstract

This session aims to study, in a comparative perspective, the construction of Iberian monarchies between the 13th and the 15th centuries, namely the paper of the clergy in this process. With this objective we choose to considerer three different levels of intervention: the chancery, the royal chapel and its influence, and the diplomatic relations between the two kingdoms, in order to construct special approaches of a political process.
