Abstract

The session focuses on saga construction. The first paper deals with verbal echoes and thematic overlaps in Fóstbræðra saga and Grettis saga; the second and third discuss sagas with serious lacunae, from the point of view of reconstructing the missing content in one case, and of editorial strategies towards the missing text.
