| Abstract | This round table discussion brings together experts from a range of teaching and research backgrounds, career stages, and across the disciplines of Medieval History, Classics, Archaeology and Heritage Studies, and English Literature. This round table unites customarily disparate voices through the focus on gender and women, and facilitates the productive exchange of experiences and approaches to feminist and inclusive pedagogy. Discussion will be structured by the following themes: i. What is feminist pedagogy, and how do we do it? ii. Finding feminist pedagogy in language and translation teaching; iii. Finding the female voice in primary sources; and iv. The value of teaching and pedagogical research as a gendered issue. Participants include Carol Atack (University of Oxford), Victoria Leonard (University of London), Liz Herbert McAvoy (Swansea University), and Sharon Marshall (University of Exeter). |
