Abstract

The first of four sessions exploring Durham, Cathedral Library, MS Hunter 100: a scientific compendium of the early 12th century. From codicology to art history, historical networks, and the local circumstances of the manuscript to computistcal analysis and the context of monastic learning. This session is concerned with the networks connecting communities of learning in Anglo-Norman England.
