Abstract

With these four panels on royal marriages we aim to start a project that will allow us to compare uses, rituals and diplomatic strategies in different geographic areas, as much as to perceive the importance of affection within royal unions and its connection to the necessity of offspring.
This second panel will focus on several study cases of marriages within royal families, highlighting several moments of the marriage process and all the difficulties that could arise until the definitive moment of the final ceremonies and the consummation of marriage.
