Abstract

To memorize always means to shape one's own past, present, and future. By combining paradigmatic case studies on ritual, historiography, game and play, and art, six papers of two corresponding sessions address the constructive field of tension between memory and creativity. They aim to examine specific forms of the memory of institutions as well as individuals and the creative use of these memories in order to visualise, confirm and establish both individual and social identity-factors.
