Abstract

Exciting new networks continue to develop between researchers, and museum, heritage, and archival professionals. These groups promote the public engagement of historical research outside academia: in schools, the local community, and the wider world through tourism. They strive to improve the public understanding of medieval studies through accessible communication. This session aims to examine the range of discourses around medieval heritage by way of three presentations which discuss three very different medieval museum and heritage sites in Europe and Asia.
