Abstract

This panel will examine the memory of the medieval veteran of war, discussing how he remembered war and also how society remembered the veteran. The first paper looks at the ways in which late medieval English veterans remembered war. The final paper focuses on the Tyrolean knight, Peter Von Spaur, remembered the wars he fought for Duke Freidrich IV of Austria.
