Abstract

The session will concentrate on the role of various aspects of domestic space in mainly late medieval societies of Central and Southeastern Europe. Beside gender issues, particular emphasis will be put on piety, family life, and the keeping of animals. The results to be offered are based on the analysis of zooarchaeologial material, texts, and decorative art.
