Abstract | This paper explores the works of the 15th-century Castilian woman author, Teresa de Cartagena, from the perspective of intersectionality. This exploration reveals the selective activation of different layers of the author's identity in her works, according to her communicative aims and the reactions subsequent to their reception. Such a process reveals the fluidity of the literary fashioning of the authorial identity visible in these works.
