Abstract | This session forms part of a four session strand on Dynasty and Court Culture in Byzantium and the Near East. The three papers in this session focus on court culture. Letizia Osti focuses on zarf in Abbasid court culture. Nikolaos Zagklas considers education and the Byzantine court. Barbara Crostini examines the selection of saints in the Menologion of Basil II. |
