Abstract | Paper -a studies the intellectual network binding members of the Cracow University with Italian scientifical environment. It comprised personal contacts as well as correspondence and acquiring books from Italy. Paper - b discusses the concept of regional identity in Giovanni Villani's Nuova Cronica and the new geographical-historical perspective reflected in his text. |
