Abstract

Within the past five years, libraries and publishers have made great strides in providing scholars with better access to medieval manuscripts and charters through imaginative use of electronic resources. Cataloguers and archivists have created new descriptive standards to put manuscript images and texts online. These sessions will introduce scholars to the electronic resources that are available to them. They wil also provide an opportunity for users and to meet with the people creating the electronic resources to suggest improvements. the hope is that researches will become more aware of the online and digitaized resources designed specifically for them, and become part of a dialogue to continue making manuscripts more accessible.
