Drawing medievalists from over 60 countries, with more than 2,000 individual papers as well as public concerts, performances, excursions, bookfairs and more, the International Medieval Congress (IMC) is Europe's largest forum for sharing ideas in medieval studies.

IMC 2026 will take place from Monday 06 July to Thursday 09 July 2026 and there will be both an in-person and virtual component. The special thematic focus for IMC 2026 will be 'Temporalities'. Registration for IMC 2026 closes on Wednesday 10 June.

Acceptances for IMC 2026 were sent out on 28 November 2025. Please check your involvements in the Speaker Center.

The IMC will never ask you to confirm travel plans under the name of Global Travel or cancel purchased accommodation without a cancellation request from you. If you have registered for IMC, you can securely check details of your booking via the confirmation email sent to you from our registration site.
