In this session, delegates attending in-person hear from a virtual participant

Following the success of 2021’s wholly virtual IMC and last year’s hybrid affair, we are delighted to be working with the Conference Exchange (Confex) to provide a virtual platform for IMC 2023.

Congress Director, Axel Müller said: ‘We are very pleased to be working with Confex after our previous virtual provider closed their platform. As we get closer to IMC 2023, both the IMC team and Confex are working hard to deliver a top-quality experience for colleagues both in person and virtually’.

As in previous years, the new virtual platform will facilitate simultaneous participation for speakers who are unable to travel to Leeds, as well as enable attendees from around the world to participate live in IMC sessions both as presenters and audience members.

If you are no longer able to attend in person, it is essential you let us know by emailing imc@leeds.ac.uk as soon as possible so that we can update our records and make the necessary arrangements to support the hybrid delivery of your session.

The platform will be accessible via desktop/laptop devices, as well as via native apps on iOS and Android via the Apple App Store and Google Play store respectively.

As at the most recent IMCs, all sessions will be recorded with the recordings available via the platform from around 48 hours after the session finished through till 31 August. Recordings will only be accessible by registered IMC delegates but if you do not want your session to be recorded, please let us know as soon as possible.

Confex will also be home to a wide variety of support information, including maps and plans of campus, as well as networking and socialising tools which enable colleagues to connect with old and new friends during the IMC.
