Abstract

This session aims to work on a great variety of written sources for the research of travelling and mobility. Besides narrative sources (travel stories), household accounts, merchant books, toll tarifs, monastic testimonies of travels, and other sources will be treated. The speakers will show how various written sources can be used in research of medieval travelling and mobility.
