Abstract

No abstract provided.
As to the papers, not all of them are medieval with regard to subject matter. However, the general principle of all papers is to ask the same questions about the uses of the past (for legitimations of the present, for the creation of identities, about the ways the past is adapted for purposes of the present etc.), so that there is a clear connection between them even if the subject matter is modern or classical. We hope that the papers,m as a whole, will contribute to the modern discussion about the media, the ways of constructing the past and the purposes of the uses of images of the past.
