Abstract

This session relates the state of art of the research on the far neglected life in the convents of the Teutonic Order, i.e. culture. It was expressed in liturgy accompanying the conventual life together with its music, literature, the layout of the chapels, and the way the manuscripts were decorated. The architecture of the Teutonic Order's castles was imitated by the neighbouring Polish duchies, e.g. in Mazowsze.
