Abstract

The Heritage Lottery Fund was established by Parliament in 1994 to make grants to heritage-based projects across the United Kingdom. This year, the HLF will allocate around £330 million, and since 1994 it has awarded over £3 billion to more than 15,000 projects throughout the UK. Dame Liz Forgan, CBE, is the HLF's Chair. Formerly Managing Director of BBC Radio and Channel 4's Director of Programmes, she is also a former Chair of the Churches Conservation Trust, a former Trustee of the Phoenix Trust, Chair of the Scott Trust, and a board member of the Conservatoire for Dance and Drama.

Please note that admission to this event will be by ticket only: Tickets are free of charge and can be reserved through the Registration Form. Tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. There will be two types of tickets: to the Lawnswood Room (main keynote lecture room) and reserve tickets. Please note that reserve ticket holders are not guaranteed a space in the lecture room. Unclaimed seats in the Lawnswood Room will be reallocated to holders of reserve tickets five minutes before the lecture is scheduled to begin.
