Tuesday 11 July 2006, 19.30-20.30

Organiser:Alan V. Murray, Institute for Medieval Studies, University of Leeds
Moderator/Chair:Alan V. Murray, Institute for Medieval Studies, University of Leeds
Abstract

The Crusades and the Latin East are one of the most vibrant areas in Medieval Studies, and have been particularly well represented at both at IMC and at numerous dedicated international conferences in the decade 1995-2005. This round table offers an opportunity to assess the current state of crusade studies (in their widest sense) and a forum to exchange ideas for future directions for research.

Participants include Luis GarcĂa-Guijarro Ramos (Universidad de Zaragoza), Deborah Gerish (Emporia State University, Kansas), and Kurt Villads Jensen (University of Southern Denmark, Odense).
