Abstract

This session will take a look at different aspects of the culture of consumption in medieval society, using an interdisciplinary approach, by examining archaeology, in this case pottery, court, and law records, such as the 14th-century sumptuary law, as well as elements of medieval literature, including John Gower and Langland.
