Abstract

This seventh of eight sessions in commemoration of the arrest of the Templars in 1307 considers the aftermath of the trial, when former Templar properties were transferred on papal instructions either to the Hospitallers or to new religious orders. The first paper in this session considers the trial from the point of view of the Hospitallers, and what they hoped to gain; the following papers focus on events in Valencia and in the British Isles.
