Abstract

This workshop is designed for anyone who would like to learn how to read Chaucer's Middle English poetry/prose aloud. Beginning or experienced readers are welcome. The workshop will be non-threatening, and most readers should be able to make noticeable improvements in their reading Middle English during this session. Please bring six copies of a passage from Chaucer's works you would like to improve. All readers should try to prepare the following passage from the Franklin's Tale - Fragment V, 857-1010.
