Abstract

The first paper deals with a long underestimated aspect of Bonaventure's thought, his political theory.
The third deals with the question whether Marsilius has what can be called a theory of empire. Based on his Defensor pacis, the Tractatus de translatione imperii, and the Defensor minor an analysis of his concept of empire will be given.
