Abstract

Concluding the strand on ‘vernacularity’, this round table seeks to explore the vernacular as social, cultural, and political form across and between disciplines (eg Art , Architectural, and Religious History, Linguistic Anthropology, Literary and Manuscript Studies), and periods, with the aim of generating a more precise conceptual understanding. Panellists and audience members are invited to consider particularly the outcomes and approaches of the papers and sessions, as well as contributing their own perspectives upon the subject.
