Abstract

This roundtable session prefigures the Gender and Medieval Studies group (GMS) conference to be hosted by MEMO at Swansea University in January 2011 on 'Gender, Time, and Memory'. It aims to illuminate and unpick some of the primary issues to be discussed at this conference, in particular the ways in which memory is affected by varying concepts of time and how gender helps to configure our responses to the past.

Participants include Jed Chandler (Swansea University), David Clark (University of Leicester), Catherine A. M. Clarke (Swansea University), Isabel Davis (Birkbeck College, University of London), and Sarah Salih (King's College London).
