Abstract

The subjects of the kingdom of Valencia in the region of Turia preserved their civilization by different methods. One of these is the military architecture that played has an important role in the conservation of their life style. The region had a strong Christian and Islamic influence. They had a very particular building technique that stands different and which can still be observed in the region today up. In this paper we will analyze the medieval military architecture of the Turia region focusing on the periods that spans from the Islamic period to the Reconquista. In every City, there are still fortifications build on this perimeter; showing the evolution of the technique and marking the diversity of this period.
