Abstract

The first paper is the result of the re-examination of an Anglo-Saxon embroidered fragment by a professional embroiderer; the second the result of an examination of the Bayeux Tapestry by a professional artist. The third paper examines the achievement and effect of the classic monograph on English medieval embroidery and its author.
