Abstract | This is part of a series of sessions on 'The Later Roman Empire in Transition: The Sons of Constantine['. This is Session 2, entited 'Death and (Dis)unity'. The three speakers will address the infamous death of Constantine's son Crispus in 326, the role of imperial women in the politics of the period (particularly the daughters of Constantine), and the imperial disunity of the period and the problem of usurpartion. |
