Abstract

Conversion experiences described in hagiographies are often rich narratives that convey much more than a binary transition. Although holy men and women may undergo a singular, Damascene moment of conversion, frequently their experience is ongoing, episodic and non-linear. Such processes are symbolically and emotionally charged. These sessions seeks to explore the diversity of conversion narratives and explore the many facets of the conversion process.
