Abstract

In 2008, a group of medievalists headed by Simon Doubleday (Hofstra University) founded a new journal dedicated to interdisciplinary research on Iberia. Their goal was to integrate groundbreaking scholarship on all aspects of the Middle Ages - history, art, archaeology, literature - in order to publish innovative work that advances medieval studies as a whole. A decade later, the Journal of Medieval Iberian Studies has become a touchstone in the field. To mark the 2019 changing of the editorial guard, JMIS is sponsoring a round table followed by a reception to discuss past trends and future ambitions. In addition to the outgoing and incoming Editors-in-Chief, Simon Doubleday and Therese Martin, participants will include members of the new Editorial Board.

Participants include Simon Doubleday (Hofstra University), Antonella Liuzzo Scorpo (University of Lincoln), and Eduardo Manzano Moreno (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC), Madrid).
