Abstract

The medieval queens' agency extends into cities of their landholdings and facilitates the creation of power networks delimited by buildings specially linked to their authority. It is a practice registered from very early dates, as the case of the city of Leon shows. This kingdom will largely focus the attention of this session, hand in hand with the impact of Berenguela of Castile after the dissolution of her marriage. A reality that will be complemented by the analysis of the management of the Portuguese town of Alenquer by Queen Leonor Teles and her grain supply policies.
