Abstract

As a highly diverse group of scholars with different academic backgrounds and career paths, Early Career Researchers in the field of Medieval Studies face many challenges. This round table discussion brings together scholars and boards of ECR networks to stimulate cross-disciplinary connections, to give a platform to marginalised voices, and to engage in conversation with one another. How can we benefit from one another's knowledge in academic and other careers? How do we develop networks within and beyond our own research fields? And how can we address these challenges and make significant contributions to the development of our professional environment?

Participants include Amina Boukail (Université de Jijel, Algérie), Lisa D. Camp (Cornell University), Sven Kraus (Universität Basel), Katrín Lísa Mikaelsdóttir (University of Iceland, Reykjavík), Friederike Richter (Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin), and Yoav Tirosh (University of Iceland, Reykjavík).
