Abstract | The medieval era is home to a wealth of source material, sources that facilitate and inspire the research carried out by new and experienced scholars alike. This round table discussion seeks to address the ways in which medieval sources are accessed, analysed, and applied within current research, as well as introducing a new Routledge source-based series: Approaching Medieval Sources. This new series provides accessible, in-depth companions to the rich array of sources available for those researching the medieval period (c. 500 - c. 1500). The speakers on this panel will discuss the series and its aims, as well as reflecting on the key sources that underpin their own research. Participants include Paul R. Dryburgh (The National Archives, Kew), Lindy Grant (University of Reading), Laura Pilsworth (Taylor & Francis, Abingdon), and Louise J. Wilkinson (University of Lincoln). |
