Abstract	This is the second of two linked sessions exploring aspects of identity formation in the multicultural border zones of medieval Britain, exploring cultural relationships in the context of geography. This session focuses on movements across borders and the kinds of linguistic and cultural interactions between Britain and its European neighbours which define place, space, and identity.
